Still at it!
Happy
This studio/office makeover has taken on a life of it's own. I do see a faint light at the end of the tunnel. Electrician guy is coming this week and I will be doing more sorting, painting and more tinkering. More pictures to come.

My mom pointed out to me that I have not posted anything here since Feb 25. YIKES! She said, "people are going to forget about you" sorry, I 'll be back. It's just life has swept me away from my blog.
My darling hubby and I have been redoing the office/studio. We opened a can of worms that we can't put back in the can. One idea (project) leads to another which leads to another and yet another one....which leads to another...you get the idea.

Money money money
I wish I could remember where I found this picture. I ran across it somewhere in blog land and forgot to save the link. If it belongs to you please accepted my apologies and I will be happy to link to you.
It fits perfect with my post today.
The things money can't buy would make a long list however, here are some I have been think about.
1. Ability to think --- thoughts make us who we are
2. Peace of Mind ---- living life with no regrets
3. Clear conscience --- honesty is the price tag
4. Character --- what we are when we are alone with ourselves
5. No regrets - - - learn from all that you've done. By Shorty
6. Live in the moment that is all we have By LaDolce
7 Find something to love or appreciate By LaDolce
8.
Your next, help me continue this list.

Inspiration = Passion
You will find your passion in what inspires you.

Three questions to ask yourself:
1. What inspires me?
2. What am I passionate for?
3. Am I taking risks or am I content with a comfortable life?

Randomness
The sounds of life.
It's what your kids do in the back seat of the car.
It's the sound that wafts from their bathroom when the door is closed and they think no one can hear them. (singing Praise songs)
Mostly, though, it's about the joy of being alive. It's about absolutely nothing in particular and everything all at once. It's about living right here.

Giving Myself Permission
Unfortunately, life gets in the way sometimes and projects get put on the back burner.
Case in point: I started creating some funky aprons last summer. I enjoyed the process, no pattern, no guidelines, no RULES. Simple create!
Today I am giving myself permission to -- CREATE
What are you ding today?

Be Slow In Giving Up The Old
I often wonder how people can so easily reject that which is called old; old truths, old principles, old concepts even old slogans. Nothing is bad because it is old, and nothing is good because it is new.
Whatever has been so relevant as to outlast the ages deserves more than a hasty rejection. Look at the rubbish heaps of new ideas, painfully discarded and stacked higher and higher, before you remove the ancient landmarks. Think about it. Those markers don't stand without purpose.
Though we call ageless truths "OLD", actually they are younger than youth. That which defies time never age.

Project Impact

A group of women, men and children sewed, ironed, tied quilts, and prepared food for 3 full days for the Haitian children.
Each person brought their gifts and talents to the project. It was amazing to watch this group work together like a fine oiled machine. All were an important part in order for it to be such a success.
We made 70 diapers and 101 quilts
plus there were 8 completed quilts donated.

Artful Thursdays
Button HTML:
Julie over at The Adventures of Blue Girl xoxo Artful Thursdays. I must be honest, not much 'Art" was made this week. I have been working on the "Haiti Project Impact" most of the week. Today begins the two day Sewing Marathon. A group women and I are getting together to sew non- stop for the next 2 days sewing together pin less diapers and quilts. (I'm pretty sure we will stop when we drop over from exhaustion or our sewing machine are smokin) Stay tuned, I will post picutes.

Lending A Hand

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
~Mark Twain~
Project Impact
we are making pin-less diapers and youth quilts for the orphan children in Haiti. I felt burden to do something but yet didn't know what to do for the people of Haiti.
I am choosing to do what I CAN do. I can use my gifts to touch another soul with something as simple as a quilt or cloth diaper.
